Mindfulness-based practices are used to regulate mood, alleviate or completely eliminate symptoms that cause stress and depression, and positively influence well-being. The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program is a mindfulness approach applied to individuals with physical and psychological complaints and aims to reduce stress levels (Kral et al., 2022). The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program is a widely used meditation practice that includes individual or group practices aimed at creating awareness in individuals, such as breath awareness meditation, body scan, walking meditation, and yoga, taught by a practitioner. Each of the practices involves focusing attention on the experience of the present moment (Kral et al., 2022). However, it aims for individuals under stress to respond consciously to situations instead of automatically reacting (Gotink et al., 2016). Unlike traditional meditation, the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Program is based on focused attention, the individual's clear observation of themselves and events, and breath meditation. The aim is for individuals to recognize their automatic responses to events and to transform their existing responses without judgment (Gotink et al., 2016). The main objective of this study is to determine the effect of a mindfulness-based stress reduction training program on emotion regulation and stress levels of nursing students, thereby enabling them to gain competence in this area.

Efficacy and Safety of SKB264 Plus Anlotinib in EGFR-TKI-Resistant Advanced NSCLC With Liver Metastasis

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if the combination therapy with SKB264 and anlotinib works to treat EGFR-TKI-resistant, liver-metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It will also learn about the safety of the combination therapy with SKB264 and anlotinib. The main questions it aims to answer are: Does combination therapy with SKB264 and anlotinib increase response rate and disease control rate, prolong duation of response and progressioin-free survival. What medical problems do participants have when taking combination therapy with SKB264 and anlotinib? Researchers will compare combination therapy with SKB264 and anlotinib to a historical data (the response rate of other drugs reported in literature) to see if combination therapy with SKB264 and anlotinib works better to treat EGFR-TKI-resistant, liver-metastatic non-squamous non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Participants will: 1. receive SKB264 4 mg/kg intravenously on a 14-day cycle, and take anti-H1/H2 antihistamines, acetaminophen, and dexamethasone is recommended before infusion for the first 4 infusions to prevent side effects; the regimen may be simplified starting from the 5th infusion. 2. take anlotinib 10 mg orally once daily for 14 consecutive days, followed by a 7-day rest period. 3. Visit the clinic once every week for checkups and tests

Controlled Cold Exposure Combined With PD-1/PD-L1 Immunotherapy in Solid Tumors (NIVALIS)
Solid Tumors Solid Malignancies Cold Exposure Immunotherapy

This is a single-center, prospective, single-arm, open-label phase I exploratory study that plans to enroll 24 participants with solid malignancies. All participants will receive controlled cold exposure in addition to standard PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor monotherapy or PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitor-based standard combination therapy. A 2-day cold acclimation phase will precede formal intervention, consisting of approximately 20°C exposure for 8 hours on Day -2 and approximately 18°C exposure for 10 hours on Day -1. The first combination cycle begins on Day 1 concurrently with PD-1/PD-L1-based treatment, with exposure to an 18°C temperature-controlled hospital room for 12 hours per day for 7 consecutive days. If tolerated, cold exposure may be repeated in subsequent PD-1/PD-L1 treatment cycles. The primary objective is to evaluate safety, tolerability, and feasibility. Secondary objectives are to explore preliminary antitumor activity and the effects on brown adipose tissue activation, peripheral immune profiling, circulating cytokines, metabolomics, gut microbiota, patient-reported outcomes, and tumor immune/metabolic biomarkers when paired tumor tissue is available.

Co-supplementation With Bifidobacterium Longum W11 and Colopectin for Maintenance Therapy in Children With Functional Constipation
Functional Constipation

Functional constipation is a common condition in children and often requires prolonged maintenance treatment with macrogol. This randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial will evaluate whether co-supplementation with Bifidobacterium longum W11 and Colopectin can support maintenance therapy in children with functional constipation who are receiving macrogol and are candidates for weaning. Participants aged 2 to 6 years will be randomized to receive either the active supplementation or placebo once daily for 4 weeks, followed by 4 weeks of follow-up after treatment discontinuation. The study will assess persistence of constipation after macrogol discontinuation, as well as stool consistency, distress during evacuation, soiling episodes, and treatment compliance.

Cancer Awareness Among Syrian Migrants

This study aims to develop and evaluate a theory-based educational intervention to improve cancer screening participation among Syrian migrants in Turkey. The study will also develop a Cancer Protection Motivation Scale (CPMS) to measure individuals' motivation toward cancer screening. Using a mixed-methods design, the study will explore barriers, beliefs, and behaviors related to breast, cervical, and colorectal cancer screening. The effectiveness of the intervention will be assessed using a pretest-posttest design. The findings are expected to support culturally appropriate strategies to improve cancer screening uptake among migrant populations.

Impact of Pharmacist-Led Intervention on Adult Oncology Outpatients
Cancer

Background and Rationale: Cancer patients receiving outpatient therapy often manage complex medication regimens that include anticancer agents, supportive care medications, and treatments for chronic comorbidities. This polypharmacy greatly increases the risk of medication discrepancies, potential drug-drug interactions, and unintentional errors. Moreover, because most oncology care is delivered in outpatient settings, patients are primarily responsible for self-administering their medications, making adherence a key determinant of treatment success and patient safety (Lindenmeyer et al., 2022; Alshehri et al., 2024). Medication errors and poor adherence among oncology patients are widely recognized global concerns. Research indicates that nearly half of cancer patients experience at least one medication discrepancy during transitions of care, and nonadherence to oral anticancer therapies can exceed 40%. Such issues can result in reduced treatment efficacy, increased toxicity, avoidable hospitalizations, higher healthcare costs, and poorer quality of life (Weingart et al., 2018; Wu et al., 2020; Patel et al., 2021). Pharmacists, as essential members of the multidisciplinary oncology team, are uniquely positioned to address these medication-related challenges. Their pharmacotherapy expertise and patient-education roles enable them to detect discrepancies, optimize medication use, and enhance patient understanding of treatment regimens. Evidence from various healthcare settings shows that pharmacist-led interventions such as medication reconciliation, individualized counseling, and structured follow-up can improve medication safety and adherence (de Clercq et al., 2021; Boeni et al., 2022). Despite strong evidence supporting each of these interventions individually, few studies have examined the combined effect of pharmacist-led reconciliation, counseling, and follow-up in outpatient oncology practice. Adult cancer patients face additional challenges, including complex dosing schedules, emotional distress, and financial burdens, all of which can impair medication adherence. An integrated pharmacist led program may create a continuous safety net that detects medication discrepancies early, reinforces correct use, and sustains adherence throughout treatment (Gellad et al., 2022; ISPOR Report, 2023). Therefore, this study aims to evaluate the impact of a comprehensive pharmacist-led program encompassing medication reconciliation, individualized counseling, and systematic follow-up on enhancing medication adherence and reducing medication errors among adult outpatient cancer patients. Demonstrating the effectiveness of this integrated care model may provide strong evidence to support the routine inclusion of pharmacists in outpatient oncology services to improve patient outcomes and medication safety (Alshehri et al., 2024; Boeni et al., 2022). Study Hypothesis: Adult oncology outpatients are frequently prescribed complex medication regimens upon leaving the hospital. Therefore, this study aims to evaluate whether a comprehensive pharmacist-led outpatient program improves medication adherence and reduces medication errors among this population.

Predicting the Risk of Partial Ciliary Block After Cataract and Goniosynechialysis Surgery in Primary Angle-Closure Disease

Primary angle-closure disease (PACD) is a major cause of vision loss, often treated with a combined surgery that removes the eye's natural lens (cataract surgery) and physically opens the eye's drainage system (goniosynechialysis). While effective, this surgery carries a small risk of a severe complication called ciliary block (or aqueous misdirection), where fluid builds up in the wrong part of the eye, pushing structures forward and causing high eye pressure. Recently, doctors have also noticed a "partial" form of this block, which can slowly cause the eye's drainage angle to close again without immediate severe symptoms. The purpose of this prospective, observational study is to identify which patients are at the highest risk for developing classic or partial ciliary block after this combined surgery. Researchers will use standard, non-invasive eye imaging tools-such as ultrasound biomicroscopy (UBM) and optical coherence tomography (OCT)-to take highly detailed measurements of the front of the eye before surgery. They will specifically look at factors like the width of the anterior chamber, the thickness of the lens, and the eye's overall length. To ensure accuracy, patients with a very short eye length (less than 19mm) will not be included in the study. Because this is an observational study, participation will not change a patient's standard surgical plan. Patients will undergo their scheduled surgery and be monitored for 12 months during routine follow-up visits to track their eye pressure, vision, and any structural changes in the eye. By confirming which pre-surgery measurements predict ciliary block, researchers hope to validate a risk-warning model. This will help eye surgeons take preventive steps-such as administering specific medications like mannitol before surgery-to make the procedure safer and improve long-term outcomes for patients with PACD.

The goal of this prospective, single-center, multi-cohort clinical trial is to evaluate the efficacy and safety of neoadjuvant Iparomlimab/Tuvonralimab combined with CAPEOX, with or without propranolol, in patients with locally advanced pMMR (MSS) colon cancer. The main questions it aims to answer are: * What is the major pathological response (MPR) rate after neoadjuvant treatment and curative surgery (e.g., ≤10% viable tumor cells in the resected primary tumor)? * What are the key secondary outcomes (e.g., R0 resection rate, tumor regression grade, objective response rate, disease-free survival) and the safety/tolerability profile of these neoadjuvant regimens? If there is a comparison group: Researchers will compare Cohort A (Iparomlimab/Tuvonralimab + CAPEOX) versus Cohort B (Iparomlimab/Tuvonralimab + CAPEOX + propranolol) to see whether adding propranolol improves pathological and clinical responses while maintaining acceptable safety. Participants will: * Receive neoadjuvant Iparomlimab/Tuvonralimab + CAPEOX for a protocol-defined number of cycles, with or without propranolol depending on cohort assignment. * Undergo curative-intent surgical resection after completing neoadjuvant therapy. * Be followed for postoperative treatment, adverse events, and longer-term outcomes (e.g., recurrence and survival), and may contribute tumor/blood samples for exploratory biomarker analyses related to treatment response.

Right Dorsolateral Prefrontal Cortex Closed-loop Neurofeedback for Anxiety in High-ischaemic-risk Chronic Coronary Syndrome

This study is a prospective, randomized, sham-controlled, participant- and assessor-blinded, parallel-group clinical trial designed to evaluate the clinical efficacy, mechanistic effects, and safety of right dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (DLPFC) closed-loop functional near-infrared spectroscopy brain-computer interface (fNIRS-BCI) neurofeedback in patients with high-ischaemic-risk chronic coronary syndrome (CCS) and comorbid anxiety disorder. Participants will be randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to active neurofeedback or sham feedback. The intervention consists of 4 weeks of treatment, with 20 sessions in total (1 session per weekday, approximately 20 minutes per session). The primary endpoint is the between-group difference in Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HAMA) score at 3 months after treatment. Secondary endpoints include HAMA score and HAMA response rate at the end of treatment, as well as neurophysiological measures collected during Session 1, including right DLPFC activation, heart rate (HR), and heart rate variability (HRV). Exploratory long-term follow-up will assess cardiovascular and bleeding outcomes through 4 years after randomization.

Effects of a Robot-based Sensorimotor Upper Limb Rehabilitation Paradigm in Chronic Stroke: a Randomized Controlled Trial

Sensorimotor function of the upper limb is commonly impaired after stroke, even in the chronic phase (\>6 months post-stroke). Nevertheless, good sensorimotor function is needed for daily life functioning. Sensorimotor function can be divided into three components: exteroception, proprioception and sensory processing. It is important that those three components will each be addressed in the upper limb rehabilitation. Unfortunately, there is still no optimal therapy to address sensory processing. Therefore, we developed an intensive sensorimotor robot-based rehabilitation paradigm (called ROBUST) with focus on sensory processing. As a first step, we did a pilot study (S69003) including 10 persons with chronic stroke to investigate the potential effectiveness and feasibility of this novel rehabilitation. The median change score of motor, sensory and sensorimotor assessments was exceeding the minimal clinical important difference (MCID), and the total amount of therapy was feasible as well. The investigated protocols to measure potential changes in brain function (activity and connectivity) and structure accompanying the novel therapy appeared feasible as well. Based on this first pilot study, we finalized the protocol for this RCT to investigate the effectiveness of the ROBUST intervention.

A Comparison of the Efficacy of Different Rehabilitation Strategies in Mild Cognitive Impairment
Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI)

The aim of this study is to conduct a comparative analysis of the effects of two different rehabilitation approaches on cognitive and functional outcomes in older adults diagnosed with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). The study compares two widely used approaches in the field of cognitive rehabilitation: Computer-Based Cognitive Rehabilitation (CBCR) and Dual-Task Training (DTT). The planned study will be conducted using a randomized controlled, parallel-group experimental design, in which individuals aged 65 and older diagnosed with MCI will be assigned to two intervention groups via computer-assisted randomization. Both groups will receive training for eight weeks, twice a week for 45 minutes each session, under the supervision of a specialist physical therapist. Pre- and post-intervention assessments will measure general cognitive function, executive function, fall risk, dual-task performance, functional independence, fear of falling, and physical activity level. This study is based on the assumption that cognitive decline is not limited to neuropsychological performance alone but is closely related to motor performance, safe mobility, and quality of life. The findings are expected to contribute to clinical decision-making processes by providing evidence-based data on which rehabilitation approach is more effective and feasible for older adults with HBB.

Single Visit Clinical Validation of ScreenFire, a Low-Cost HPV Test: Efficacy and Cost Effectiveness (Phase 2)

In high-income countries, prevention strategies have led to declines in cervical cancer rates by more than 75% in high-income countries. In contrast, low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) carry the global burden of cervical cancer with about 85% of new cases and 90% mortality. Screening is an essential component of effective prevention to reduce this disease burden. The World Health Organization recommends human papillomavirus (HPV) testing as the most effective screening method. However, HPV testing can be expensive and complex to implement. Most tests require central laboratory processing, which means women must come back for a different visit to obtain results and potential treatment. In LMICs, this often results in high loss to follow up because many women face transportation and other challenges. The development of new, low-cost HPV tests that can be processed locally as the potential to improve adherence in screening programs. In this study, the research team will assess the feasibility of a same-day screen-and-treat approach compared to the standard two-visit regime in the context of the cervical cancer prevention program in El Salvador. This will be a cross-sectional study that will enroll 1,000 women in remote areas of the country over 10-15 weeks. The hypothesis is that at least 10% fewer women lost to follow-up at six months using the single visit approach compared to the \>20% historical loss to follow-up using the standard two-visit approach.
