Application of Surgical Templates in the Surgical Exposure of Impacted Canines
Impacted Tooth

The first choice therapy in case of palatally impacted canines is their exposure and orthodontic eruption to improve facial esthetics and prevent pathologies associated with impacted teeth and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders. Current solutions in digital dentistry allow the registration of three dimensional imaging datasets such as cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) and digital impression of the dentition and soft tissues obtained via intraoral scanning using orthodontic planning software. This allows the surgeon to visualize the position of the impacted canine prior to surgery and to design and manufacture a surgical guide to aid in the localization of the impacted tooth during surgery. The aim of this randomized clinical trial is to assess the feasibility of surgical exposure of palatally impacted upper canines with open-eruption technique using a surgical template. The secondary purpose of this study is to compare this method with the conventional free-hand surgical exposure. Patients included in this study are randomly assigned to two study groups. In Group 1 surgical exposure for open eruption of palatally impacted canines is performed following virtual planning using a surgical template. In Group 2 surgical exposure for open-eruption of palatally impacted canines is carried out using the conventional free-hand method. We hypothesize that guided exposure of the impacted canines will be as successful as the conventional method with shorter surgical intervention and higher associated costs.

Clinical Validation of Samsung Smartwatch
Major Depressive Disorder Mood Disorders Mental Health Issue

Objective: Wearable technology holds promising potential for mental health monitoring and detection. Samsung has developed an algorithm that they believe can detect signs of depression and anxiety in smartwatch users. They have used this algorithm to create a "Mindfulness Index," which is an easily understood visual index of mental health. The primary aim of the study is to evaluate the performance of Samsung's Mindfulness Index in identifying those who have received a diagnosis of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) from a clinician-administered semi-structured diagnostic interview. Research Procedures: The target sample size is 135 individuals diagnosed with current Major Depressive Disorder and 85 healthy controls. To meet this target, the recruitment target is set at 220 participants. Participants will be assigned to the MDD condition, or the healthy control condition based on their score on the Beck Depression Inventory. Each subject will be followed for 3 months. Participants will be provided with a Samsung smartphone and Samsung smartwatch. Participants will be asked to wear the smartwatch 24 hours per day, except while charging. This smartwatch will collect data on heartrate, sleep time, and step count. During the study, each day participants will receive texts prompting a link to a "daily diary." These surveys will ask about depression and anxiety symptoms. Additionally, during the first 3 weeks of the study, participants will participate in ecological momentary assessment; texts will be sent 5 times per day prompting participants to fill out a survey about how they currently feel in that moment. These extra surveys will stop after the first 3 weeks of the study, but the daily diary surveys will continue throughout the study. Furthermore, virtual clinician visits will occur at weeks 4, 8, and 12.

CD19-Car T Cell Therapy for the Treatment of Older Adults With Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in First Remission
B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia

This phase I trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of autologous anti-CD19 CAR-expressing T lymphocytes (CD19-CAR T cells) in older adults with B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy is a type of treatment in which a patient's T cells (a type of immune system cell) are changed in the laboratory so they will attack cancer cells. T cells are taken from a patient's blood. Then the gene for a special receptor that binds to a certain protein on the patient's cancer cells is added to the T cells in the laboratory. The special receptor is called a chimeric antigen receptor (CAR). Large numbers of the CAR T cells are grown in the laboratory and given to the patient by infusion for treatment of B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

TTI-622 in Combination With Pembrolizumab for the Treatment of Relapsed or Refractory Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma
Recurrent ALK Positive Large B-Cell Lymphoma Recurrent B-Cell Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma Recurrent Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma Associated With Chronic Inflammation Recurrent Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma, Not Otherwise Specified +24

This phase II trial tests the safety, side effects, and best dose of TTI-621 (closed to enrollment) or TTI-622 in combination with pembrolizumab in treating patients with diffuse large B-cell lymphoma that has come back after a period of improvement (relapsed) or that does not respond to treatment (refractory). TTI-621 and TTI-622 are called fusion proteins. A fusion protein includes two specialized proteins that are joined together. In TTI-621 and TTI-622, one of the proteins binds with other proteins found on the surface of certain cells that are part of the immune system. The other protein targets and blocks a protein called CD47. CD47 is present on cancer cells and is used by those cells to hide from the body's immune system. By blocking CD47, TTI-621 and TTI-622 may help the immune system find and destroy cancer cells. Pembrolizumab is a monoclonal antibody directed against human cell surface receptor PD-1 (programmed death-1 or programmed cell death-1) that works by helping the body\'s immune system attack the cancer and may interfere with the ability of cancer cells to grow and spread. Giving TTI-621 (closed to enrollment) or TTI-622 in combination with pembrolizumab may kill more cancer cells in patients with relapsed or refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.

Glycemia and Ischemia Reperfusion Brain Injury in Patients With Acute Cerebral Infarction Treated With Mechanical Thrombectomy
Cerebral Infarction

Postictus hyperglycemia is associated with an accelerated transformation of the ischemic penumbra into an infarct area, with increased infarct size, worse recanalization, reduced cerebral perfusion, increased ischemia reperfusion damage, and worse outcome. Furthermore, when perfusion is reinstated, hyperglycemia causes secondary tissue damage through an increase in ischemic reperfusion damage. Thus, those patients with glycemia values \< 155 mg/dL during mechanical thrombectomy, and especially at the time of reperfusion, will have greater ischemia-reperfusion damage, showing a different profile in miRNA expression, with better neurological and functional outcomes and higher risk of hemorrhagic transformation and cerebral edema. The main objective of the study is to evaluate the association between glycemia values at the time of reperfusion and stroke recovery at 3 months in patients with acute cerebral infarction treated with mechanical thrombectomy.

Relevance of Reversible Causes During OHCA (Rebecca Study)
Out-Of-Hospital Cardiac Arrest Cardiopulmonary Arrest

Management of the reversible causes in cardiac arrest is fundamental for successful treatment of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests. Point-of-care diagnostics as prehospital emergency ultrasound, blood gas analysis and toxicological screening support the diagnostic process of evaluating potential reversible causes. Digital tools provide support of a structured approach. This study aims to evaluate the frequency of reversible causes during OHCA as well as specific interventions due to these findings. Furthermore, CPR performance (hands-off, ROSC, 30-day mortality) and cognitive load of the prehospital emergency physician will be investigated. In total 100 patients with OHCA will be included in this study. Identification of reversible causes will be performed upon a structured protocol using an interactive checklist. Cognitive load of emergency physician as well as CPR parameter (frequency of reversible causes, hands-off, ROSC, 30-day mortality) will be analysed.
