Effect of MBSR Training on Childbirth Fear, Bonding and Breastfeeding in Adolescent Pregnant Women
Pregnancy in Adolescence Fear Mother-Child Relations Mindfulness +1

This randomized controlled study aims to evaluate the effect of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) training given to adolescent pregnant women and their partners on fear of childbirth, maternal and paternal bonding, and breastfeeding success. Adolescent pregnancy is associated with increased stress, fear of childbirth and parenting anxiety, which negatively affect mother-infant and father-infant bonding and breastfeeding outcomes. MBSR training is expected to reduce fear of childbirth, strengthen maternal and paternal bonding, and improve breastfeeding success in adolescent pregnant women and their partners compared to the control group receiving routine care.

C-SMART vs BE Well for Patients With Brain Tumors
Brain Tumor

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn about the acceptability and feasibility of Cognitive Strategies, Mindfulness, and Rehabilitation Therapy (C-SMART) and Brain health Education and Wellness (BE Well) in adults with brain tumors and their caregivers. Participants will be assigned to one of the two groups: * Cognitive Strategies, Mindfulness, and Rehabilitation Therapy (C-SMART) is a recently developed virtual intervention combining both cognitive rehabilitation with mindfulness meditation training. The manualized program consists of 8 weekly 1:1 tele intervention sessions, targeting cognitive weaknesses identified from baseline cognitive testing. * Brain health Education and Wellness (BE Well) intervention consists of 8 weekly videos focused on maximizing brain health in the context of brain tumor. Participants will also be asked to: * participate in two in-person visits involving an MRI and neurocognitive tests * complete a survey the the beginning and end of the study * if in BE Well group, answer a few questions after watching each video

Safety and Tolerability Study of a Novel Bioartificial Liver in Liver Failure and Small-for-Size Syndrome
Liver Failure Small-for-Size Syndrome

The goal of this clinical trial is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of a novel bioartificial liver (CiPS-BAL) in patients with liver failure or small-for-size syndrome. The study will also collect preliminary data on clinical outcomes and laboratory parameters during treatment. The main questions it aims to answer are: Is the novel bioartificial liver system safe and well tolerated in patients with liver failure or small-for-size syndrome? What effects does the treatment have on liver function and other clinical and laboratory indicators? Researchers will treat participants with the CiPS-BAL system, which uses hepatocytes derived from chemically induced pluripotent stem cells (CiPS) within a bioartificial liver device.

Resuscitation Enhancement to Avoid Rearrest Through Evidence-based Strategies in Prehospital Post-resuscitation Care
Out-of-hospital Cardiac Arrest (OHCA)

Out-of-hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA) remains a leading global emergency condition with low survival to hospital discharge despite advances in cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Return of spontaneous circulation (ROSC) rates have improved; however, 30-50% of patients experience rearrest after ROSC, which is associated with significantly reduced survival. Preventable physiologic factors related to prehospital care - including hypoxia, hypotension, and hyperventilation - are frequently identified prior to rearrest. Evidence-based post-ROSC clinical bundles exist mainly for in-hospital settings, while structured prehospital post-resuscitation care protocols are limited, particularly in resource-constrained environments. The RE-ARREST project aims to develop, implement, and evaluate an evidence-based prehospital post-resuscitation care protocol designed for paramedic-led Emergency Medical Services. The intervention includes structured monitoring, tailored oxygenation and ventilation targets, vasopressor use criteria (norepinephrine), fluid management decision support, teamwork communication, and operational training workshops using simulation. This is a quasi-experimental pre-post interventional study conducted at the Siriraj Emergency Medical Service (SiEMS), Thailand. The study compares outcomes from retrospective pre-implementation cases with prospective post-implementation cases, including both patient-centered outcomes and provider compliance. Adult OHCA patients with ROSC achieved prehospital and transported to Siriraj Hospital are eligible. The estimated sample size is 318 participants (pre-intervention 212; post-intervention 106) over two years. The primary outcome is the incidence of rearrest within 1 hour after ROSC during prehospital care and initial emergency department management. Secondary outcomes include protocol compliance, survival-to-admission, and survival-to-hospital-discharge. The protocol emphasizes feasibility, safety, and replicability to inform scalable EMS clinical practice guidelines. This research is expected to provide novel evidence on targeted prehospital post-ROSC care and has the potential to reduce rearrest, improve neurologically favorable survival, and strengthen EMS system quality improvement efforts in Thailand and other low-to-middle-resource settings.

A Pivotal Study to Evaluate the Efficacy and Safety of a Totally Implantable Cochlear Implant (TICI) System in Adults

This clinical study examines the performance of an investigational totally implantable cochlear implant (TICI) system. The system includes an implantable microphone under the skin to detect speech and sound from the environment allowing the option to hear without the need of an external sound processor. This implant will be tested in adults with sensorineural hearing loss, a type of hearing loss caused by damage to the inner ear or auditory nerve (the nerve that carries sound signals from the ear to the brain). The study participants will undergo a series of tests that include testing their implant and their hearing. They will also complete questionnaires to see how they rate their hearing and overall general health.

Interleukin-23 Monoclonal Antibody for Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Efficacy and Safety

Patients diagnosed with moderate to severe CD or UC by the end of the study period were selected. After obtaining informed consent, treatment with infliximab-based drugs was initiated. Basic patient information and medical history were collected. The treatment process was followed, and the drug treatment plan was adjusted based on physician experience. Follow-up and disease assessments were conducted at 0, 4, 8, 16, 24, 48, and 54 weeks. At corresponding follow-up time points, blood, stool, and tissue samples were collected for gastrointestinal endoscopy, imaging examinations, laboratory tests, symptom self-assessment by participants, adverse reaction assessment, and nutritional risk screening. The efficacy and safety of IL-23 inhibitor treatment for CD or UC were comprehensively evaluated. After the study began, regular check-ups and evaluations were required when necessary or before medication administration. Venous blood samples were collected, or fecal collection boxes were provided for stool collection. When intestinal endoscopy was required for re-examination, one piece of normal and one piece of diseased intestinal mucosa tissue were collected each time. When surgery was required, two pieces of normal and two pieces of diseased intestinal mucosa tissue were collected each time. Sample collection does not affect the disease treatment and evaluation process. If any discomfort occurs during IL-23 inhibitor treatment, or if there are new changes in the condition or any unexpected situations, including hospitalization at other medical institutions, disability, etc., regardless of whether they are related to the study, participants should notify the investigator promptly to allow for judgment and appropriate medical treatment or advice to ensure safety.

Bupivacaine-Lidocaine vs Bupivacaine for Ultrasound-Guided Popliteal Sciatic Nerve Block

This prospective, randomized, double-blind clinical trial aims to compare the efficacy of two local anesthetic regimens for ultrasound-guided popliteal sciatic nerve block in adult patients undergoing elective distal lower extremity surgery. Eligible participants (ages 18-65, ASA physical status I-III, BMI 18-35 kg/m²) will be randomized into two equal groups of 20. Patients in Group BL will receive a combination of 10 mL 2% lidocaine and 10 mL 0.5% bupivacaine, while patients in Group B will receive 20 mL 0.5% bupivacaine alone, administered via ultrasound-guided popliteal sciatic nerve block prior to surgery. The primary outcome is the onset time of sensory and motor blockade. Secondary outcomes include block success rate, duration of sensory and motor block, postoperative opioid consumption, pain scores assessed by the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) at 2, 4, 8, 12, and 24 hours postoperatively, Quality of Recovery-15 (QoR-15) score, and incidence of rebound pain. The study is conducted at Ataturk University Research Hospital, Department of Anesthesiology and Reanimation, Erzurum, Turkey.

Comparison of Patient Understanding and Anxiety According to the Delivery Method of Educational Videos
Radiotherapy Patient Education

This study aims to evaluate whether a generative artificial intelligence (AI)-based educational video is more effective than a conventional video in improving patient understanding and reducing anxiety before radiation therapy. In this prospective, randomized controlled study, participants will be assigned in a 1:1 ratio to either an AI-based avatar video group or a conventional video group consisting of PowerPoint slides with voice narration. Both videos will be standardized to have similar duration (approximately 5 minutes), identical key messages, and the same summary points. After providing informed consent, participants will complete questionnaires before and after watching the assigned video, as well as during the first week of treatment. Outcomes will include anxiety levels, knowledge comprehension, and satisfaction with the educational video. A total of 136 patients scheduled to undergo radiation therapy will be enrolled from two institutions. The findings of this study are expected to provide evidence on the effectiveness of AI-based educational tools in enhancing patient education and reducing pre-treatment anxiety.

Comparison of Laryngeal Mask Airway and Endotracheal Intubation on Mechanical Power in Pediatric Patients

This prospective observational study aims to compare two commonly used airway management methods-Laryngeal Mask Airway (LMA) and Endotracheal Intubation (ETT)-in pediatric patients undergoing elective surgery under general anesthesia. The primary objective is to evaluate the impact of LMA and ETT on intraoperative mechanical power, an emerging indicator of ventilator-induced lung stress. Secondary objectives include assessing postoperative respiratory complications such as cough, hypoxemia, laryngospasm, bronchospasm, increased secretions, and breath-holding episodes. No interventions will be assigned based on a study protocol; airway management will be determined solely by clinical requirements. Routine ventilator parameters will be recorded, and mechanical power will be calculated using a validated simplified formula.

Study of Reformulated Levulan Kerastick Plus PDT for Actinic Keratosis on Upper Extremities
Actinic Keratosis

This Phase 3, randomized, multi-center, evaluator-blind, vehicle-controlled study evaluates the efficacy and safety of reformulated Levulan Kerastick (aminolevulinic acid HCl 20%) combined with photodynamic therapy (PDT) for field-directed treatment of actinic keratosis (AK) on the upper extremities. Approximately 260 adult patients with 4-8 mild to moderate AK lesions on one arm will be randomized to receive either active treatment or vehicle control, followed by exposure to blue light. During the study, up to 2 PDT sessions may be administered depending on the clearance of lesions. The primary endpoint is complete clearance rate (CCR) at Week 12. Secondary endpoints include AK clearance rate (AKCR), partial clearance, change in total lesion count and area, recurrence rate, cosmetic response, and patient satisfaction. Safety assessments include adverse events, local skin reactions, vital signs, and lab tests.

A Study Testing How Well the Drug Extract of Ginkgo Biloba Leaves Tablets Works for People With Memory or Thinking Problems After a Stroke When Added to Standard Treatment

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if Extract of Ginkgo Biloba Leaves Tablets help improve thinking and memory in people aged 55 years and older who had an ischemic stroke (a type of stroke caused by a blocked blood vessel in the brain). It will also look at how safe the Extract of Ginkgo Biloba Leaves Tablets are. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Do the Extract of Ginkgo Biloba Leaves Tablets help people with memory or thinking problems after an ischemic stroke? * What medical problems do people have when taking the Extract of Ginkgo Biloba Leaves Tablets ? Researchers will compare people who take the Extract of Ginkgo Biloba Leaves Tablets along with their usual post-stroke treatment to people who only receive their usual post-stroke treatment. Participants will: * Have had an ischemic stroke confirmed by MRI (Magnet Resonance Imaging, a magnetic scan that helps seeing inside the body in great detail) 7 to 14 days before joining the study * Take Extract of Ginkgo Biloba Leaves Tablets (240 mg per day) in addition to usual post-stroke treatment for 12 months, or receive only usual post-stroke treatment for 12 months * Be treated initially at hospitals across China * Visit the clinic 4, 26, and 52 weeks following the baseline for checkups and tests, and receive follow-up calls after 12 and 38 weeks.

Measurement of Ocular Blood Flow and Retinal Oxygen Extraction in Diabetic Patients

The prevalence of diabetes is increasing, with type 2 diabetes mellitus comprising over 90% of cases. Diabetes mellitus complications, including diabetic retinopathy (DR), impose significant health burdens. GLP-1 receptor agonists (GLP-1RAs) and dual GIP/GLP-1 receptor agonists show promise in improving cardiovascular and kidney outcomes, but their effects on retinal microvasculature and neuroprotection remain unclear. This study investigates the impact of GLP-1RAs (semaglutide, liraglutide) and GIP/GLP-1-dual agonists (tirzepatide) on ocular blood flow and retinal function in DM patients.
