Effectiveness of the Mindful Compassion Care Program for Healthcare Professionals in Oncology and Palliative Care

Professional Quality of Life Palliative Care Oncology

This randomized controlled trial aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Mindful Compassion Care Program (MCCP), a mindfulness- and compassion-based intervention designed to enhance the emotional and professional well-being of healthcare professionals (HPs). The study adopts a multi-center, open-label, randomized, parallel-group, superiority design and includes HPs (physicians, nurses, and nursing assistants) involved in the clinical care of cancer patients across different settings and disease phases. Eligible participants must not have attended MBSR or other mindfulness-/compassion-based interventions in the preceding six months. The RCT has a primary objective of assessing the MCCP's effectiveness in increasing positive emotions and reducing negative emotions among HPs working in oncology and palliative care. Secondary objectives include evaluating improvements in professional quality of life and self-compassion. After providing informed consent, HPs will be randomized to receive either the MCCP (experimental group) or no intervention (control group).

EQUIP - Evaluation of Quality of Imaging on a Next-generation Total Body Pet Scan in Comparison to Conventional PET

The GE Healthcare Omni Total Body (TB) 128cms (Omni TB) is a long-axial field-of-view (LAFOV) PET/CT scanner and will be installed in a pre-market phase at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre. The main features and functionality of this new scanner include high sensitivity, high resolution digital detectors based on silicon photomultipliers. The ultra-high sensitivity and extended field of view are designed to support the ability to reduce administrated dose and/or shorten acquisition time without compromising the image quality of the PET imaging. To verify the appearance of images acquired on the Omni TB with images acquired on our conventional PET/CT equipment, a study imaging a cohort of patients on both devices is proposed. The study involves no additional radiopharmaceutical administration. Additionally, in keeping with ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable) radiation dose practices, it will be possible to model acquisition settings (duration, administered activity and reconstruction parameters) using the system raw data and a suite of research tools to optimise acquisition parameters.

Vascular Anomalies Vascular Anomaly TIE2/PIK3CA Pathway Driven Vascular Anomalies

The study will enroll participants 2 months of age up to 30 years of age. The purpose of this study is to assess the effectiveness and safety of Alpelisib (the "Study Drug") in patients with PIK3CA/TIE-2/TEK pathway driven vascular anomalies (VA). Alpelisib has been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for treating adults and children with certain types of breast cancer. Its use in this study is considered experimental because FDA has not approved the study drug for treating people with VAs. Study participation will last for up to 3 years and will involve regular study visits to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP)'s Philadelphia Campus. Participants will need to take the study drug Alpelisib for at least 2 years, or up to 3 years in total if there is a positive response. Participating in this research means you will attend up to 16 clinic visits for the purposes of the study. Most visits will take approximately 30 minutes, but some visits will take approximately 2 hours, because you will be asked to complete questionnaires about your experience. Participating in this research also means taking the study drug, having pictures taken, and completing study drug diaries. There is also an optional portion to this study that involves collecting blood for biomarker testing.

Pharmacist Intervention to Improve Smoking Cessation

Smoking Cessation

The goal of this study is to assess the effectiveness of a remote pharmacist intervention to help smokers quit. The main questions it aims to answer are: * Will smokers being screened for lung cancer with low-radiation-level chest computed tomography (CT) be willing to participate in this study and talk to the pharmacist about smoking cessation? * Will those in the intervention group be more likely to report smoking cessation than those in the control group. Participants in the intervention group will be asked to complete a baseline survey; speak with a pharmacist via phone call at baseline, 2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks, 8 weeks, 10 weeks, and 12 weeks; and complete an exit survey. Participants in the control group will be asked to complete a baseline survey and an exit survey.

The purpose of this study is to find out more about the long-term safety of pirtobrutinib in participants with previously treated types of blood cancer. Participants must have chronic lymphocytic leukemia, small lymphocytic lymphoma, or non-Hodgkins lymphoma. The study is open to those who completed the original study - J2N-MC-JZNJ (NCT04849416) and continue to benefit from treatment. Treatment will be given every 12 weeks and this study is expected to last about 5 years.

This study plans to utilize multiphase contrast-enhanced and non-contrast CT（Computed Tomography） images from 10000 pathologically confirmed liver tumor patients at our hospital. An AI（artificial intelligence） model will be used to outline the 3D contours of liver masses, which will then be refined by radiologists and hepatobiliary-pancreatic surgeons to enhance model accuracy. By incorporating more imaging data, the model's recognition capabilities will be improved, laying the groundwork for prospective clinical trials and aiming to establish a superior AI model for early liver cancer screening based on CT imaging.

The study has 2 parts, Phase 1a and Phase 1b. The goal of Phase 1a is to gather safety, PK and initial efficacy data for 225Ac-ABD147 to better understand best doses for patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) and large cell neuroendocrine carcinoma (LCNEC) of the lung following platinum-based chemotherapy. An initial group of patients will also be given an experimental imaging agent called 111In-ABD147 to help understand where ABD147 goes in the body. The goal of Phase 1b is to gather additional safety and efficacy data on 225Ac-ABD147 to determine the best dose and to understand how those doses affect the same types of patients' cancers explored enrolled in Phase 1a.

A Study to Test Long-term Treatment With Brigimadlin in People With Solid Tumours Who Took Part in a Previous Study With This Medicine

This study is open to adults with solid tumours who received at least 4 cycles of treatment with brigimadlin in a previous study. The goal of this study is to find out how well people with solid tumours tolerate long-term treatment with brigimadlin. Brigimadlin is a so-called MDM2 inhibitor that was being developed to treat cancer. All participants take brigimadlin as tablets once every 3 weeks at the study site. At study visits, doctors check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects. At some study visits, doctors also check the size of the tumour and whether it has spread to other parts of the body. Participants are in the study as long as they benefit from treatment and can tolerate it.
